Terri Jarvi brings a calm, compassionate approach to healing through the counseling process. She is dedicated to helping clients find the strength, courage and insight necessary to cope in a healthier way. She is experienced in helping clients find their way through life’s challenges and transitions. Terri believes in creating a safe and trusting counseling relationship so that clients may reach their emotional goals.
Terri has more than 25 years’ experience working with diverse populations on various issues. She is highly experienced in domestic violence, sexual assault and substance abuse. She has worked with survivors suffering from trauma and helps them heal from their past experiences using EMDR therapy.
Terri also has experience in providing support and guidance to those mired in poverty so that they may find their way to self-sufficiency. She has helped many people recover from the throes of addiction. Those afflicted with mental health needs, find hope with Terri’s guidance and are able to create new goals and aspirations for themselves.
Terri earned her bachelor’s degree in social work at Illinois State University and her master’s degree in counseling at Northern Illinois University.
