We welcome new patients and familiar faces. Call 815-986-1113 to schedule an appointment. Same-day appointments are sometimes available. We will make every effort to accommodate you. We offer both in-person services and visits via telecommunications. Should you reach our voicemail service, please leave a message. Someone will contact you within 72 hours.
The goal of your first appointment is to get to know you. We will dive deep into your concerns, problems, and symptoms. This meeting will typically take about 40 to 60 minutes. During this time, we will assess your situation and assign a qualified therapist or doctor to attend to your needs. This person will work with you to develop a plan of recovery.
Twenty minutes will be allotted for medication management and 55 minutes for one-on-one therapy. Your therapy session will consist of monitoring your progress according to your proposed plan of recovery. You and your therapist will decide how often you meet and when your next appointment will be.
Appointments must be rescheduled or canceled at least 24 hours in advance by phone or 72 hours in advance by email in order to avoid being charged for the session. (Be advised that insurance companies will not cover charges for no-shows.) The 24-hour time frame is defined as cancellations left on voicemail by 10:00 p.m. the evening before the scheduled appointment.
In order to ensure the full benefit of a full session, it is imperative that you arrive on time. We recommend arriving at least ten minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time so that you may get yourself situated and checked in. Keep in mind that your clinician likely has an appointment immediately following yours.
Telehealth, also known as telemedicine, enables Magnolia Mental Health Clinic’s professionals to effectively communicate with their patients when an in-person visit is not convenient or not preferred. Telehealth conversations can include diagnosis, therapy, and medication management.
At Magnolia Mental Health Clinic, we utilize a HIPAA-compliant application called Doximity for telehealth appointments. This allows us to conduct sessions via voice or video. To conduct a video conference, you will need a mobile phone such as Apple® or Android™. Landlines or dated handheld devices will not work for video calls, only for voice calls.
The good news? You don’t need to download an app!
Your clinician will contact you by phone. The number to look for on your caller ID is 815-986-1113. If you are scheduled for a video conference, you will receive a text message just prior to your appointment. Simply click the link provided in the text and join the video.
We look forward to caring for you via telehealth!
