About Magnolia Mental Health Clinic

Who is Magnolia Mental Health Clinic?

We are a full-service mental health clinic based in Loves Park, Illinois. We are dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health through therapy.

What services does the clinic offer?

We provide psychiatric evaluations, counseling, medication (if needed), medication management, and psychotherapy treatment.

What types of mental health conditions do you treat?

We address many common syndromes and illnesses including ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. We also offer general counseling services.

Do you accept my insurance, and what are the payment options?

Yes, we accept insurance. You are responsible for contacting your provider for details of your coverage.

Will my information remain confidential?

Yes. Your personal information, medical records, and prescriptions will remain confidential. We will require written consent from you to transfer them if necessary.

Can I choose my therapist?

After we evaluate you, we will recommend a therapist. If you have a predetermined preference and your case calls for it, we will make every effort to accommodate you.

How long does a typical session last?

There will be 20 min. allotted for medication management and 55 min. for one-on-one therapy. You and your therapist will decide how often you meet.

Do you provide medication management?

Yes. This is one of our specialties.

What should I do if I need help between sessions?

Contact the clinic at 815-986-1113 (and leave a message if necessary). Someone will get back to you to address your needs.

Do you offer services for children and families?

Yes. We offer family counseling and will meet with children individually and with their parents as needed. As always, every situation is treated on a case-by-case basis.

Can I bring a support person or comfort dog to my appointment?

By all means, we welcome those who are important to you. If you will be bringing an animal, please let us know in advance.

What should I do if I’m experiencing a mental health crisis?

If you are contemplating suicide, the hotline number is 988. Dial this number as you would dial 911 for other emergencies.

Do you provide group therapy or workshops?

Yes. We encourage this form of therapy as a healthy way to connect with others and improve mental health. Our staff is available to discuss these options.
